UPSC Recruitment 2013:UPSC was, formed in 1926 under British Raj. Changed to, federal public service commission under Government of India Act in 1935. After formation of Indian Republic, it was, changed to Union public service commission in 1950 as, full Autonomous Institution under article 315 of the Indian constitution.
Primary aim and objective of the commission is, to conduct unbiased and fair recruitments for various all India services and other national cadre services posts. UPSC follows a calendar format to conduct tests regularly every year.
Recruitment structure of the commission is, written test followed by interview.

Any Graduate, under age limit of 21-30 is, eligible to apply.
SCHEME OF EXAM
Preliminary exam main exam and personal interview comprise the scheme of the exam.
Preliminary exam consists of two papers of general studies subject GS-1 and GS-2.
Main exam consists of total nine papers,

English language paper
Essay

General studies and paper -2
Any two, optional papers, having two papers each.
Optional -1. Both Paper –I & Paper –II.
Optional – 2. Both Paper I & Paper II
Qualified candidates are, called for personal interview at Delhi.
INDIAN FOREST SERVICE
Any science graduate, including both Agriculture and veterinary, under the age limit are, eligible.

Any two optional papers having two papers each

ENGINEERING SERVICES EXAM
All the officer cadre-Engineering posts in central public sector units and enterprises, departments and institutes are, come under this category.
Any engineering graduate under age limit of 21-30 are eligible to apply.

Written test and personal interview, comprises of total six papers both objective and conventional method.
Paper – 1 General ability
Both English and general studies
Paper –II and III Objective type Technical Domain paper, having two papers.
Paper –IV and V Conventional type Technical Domain paper, having two papers.
Selected candidates are, called for personal interview.
COMBINED MEDICAL SERVICES
Medical officers in Railways, Ordinance factories, CGHS, and Delhi Municipal Corporation, etc
MBBS, completed including compulsory internship, and below 32yeas of age are, eligible to apply

Selection based on, Written Test and Interview. Written test comprise, objective type two papers of subject domain.
GEOLOGIST EXAM
All the category -1 posts in geological survey of India and category -2posts in Central ground water board are recruited though this exam.
Post graduate in Geology and Hydrology and under below 32 age are, eligible to apply.
Scheme of Exam
Selection based on written test and interview. Written test comprises four papers and additional paper of hydrogeology for Ground Water Board posts.
Paper – I, General English
Paper – 2, 3, 4, are Technical paper of subject domain.
Qualified candidates are, called for interviews.
SPECIAL CALAS RAILWAY EXAM
Senior secondary or 10 + 2 or pass candidates with PCM below 21 years of age are, eligible.

INDIAN ECONOMIC / STATISTICAL SERVICE
Qualification: For IES ,Post graduation in economics and for ISS, Post graduation in statistics are eligible.
Age Limit: 21 -30 yrs.

Selection based on written test and interview. Written test comprise six papers of conventional type.
Paper I: General studies

All the remaining four Optional Papers are, of subject domain. i.e. Economics / Statistics
SECTON OFFICERS / STENOGRAPHERS
These are departmental Tests for promotions of junior cadre employees.
Only serving employees of central government ministries and departments are eligible.
NDA / NAVAL ACADEMY EXAM
This examination held twice a year for admission into Defense Academy.
Selection based on written test and SSB interview.
Qualification: For Army 12th or 10+2, pass. For Air Force and Navy, 12th or 10+2 pass with Mathematics are eligible.
Age Limit: 16 – 19, years.

COMBINED DEFFENSE SERVICES EXAM
This exam is for direct entry as officer cadre into Military Academy, Naval Academy, Air force Academy and Officers Training Academy.
Selection based on written test and SSB interview
Qualification: Graduation pass, in any subject for Military Academy and Officer’s Academy.
Graduation in Physics and Mathematics or Bachelor of Engineering, for Air force Academy and Naval Academy.
Written Test comprise Objective type test in General Ability and Elementary Mathematics.
Candidates qualified in written test are, called for SSB interview
CENTRAL POLICE FORCES (ASSIST. COMMANDANT) EXAM
Jobs in all the central forces like CRPF, CISF, BSF and ITBP are, recruited through this exam.
Selection based on written test and personality test.
Eligibility: Graduation pass in any subject
Age Limit: 21 – 25 yrs
